An individual member of BCA who breeds or co-breeds a minimum of ten (10) AKC Champions may apply for membership in the BCA Breeder's Hall of Fame. Further Plateaus of Excellence may be awarded to those breeding 25, 50 or 75 Champions over the course of their breeding program. Mike “Captain Hook” Sigel Inducted into BCA’s Hall of Fame in 1989 Mike “Captain Hook” Sigel (1953 to present) Inducted 1989 Mike Sigel, at 35, became the youngest male elected to the BCA Hall of Fame. Born in Rochester, N.Y. Sigel began playing pool at 13, and turned professional when he was. The BCA Hall of Fame was established and the original criteria for qualification was set at the National Council meeting in September 1973. The information listed below describes the current categories and requirements for recognition as amended by the Council through 2011.
The BCA holds an annual trade show, the International Billiards & Home Recreation Expo. Also annually, it inducts great players, and those who have made great contributions to the sport, into the BCA Hall of Fame. The BC Sports Hall of Fame celebrates extraordinary achievement in BC sport history and inspires future generations to make their dreams come true. Each year, a diverse audience of over 35,000 visitors from around the globe are educated and enthralled by the collection of 27,000 artifacts representing 150-years of sporting accomplishments in British Columbia.
