Jazz vs Hawks Preview
Jazz In Excellent Position In Western Conference
Many would have believed that the fight for the top spot in the Western Conference would have been a straight battle between the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers this season. However, the Utah Jazz are threatening to gate-crash that party. The Jazz have been one of the stories of the season so far this term, and look in with an outside chance of doing well in the playoffs. Utah have won 15 of the games that they have played so far this season. Only the Lakers and Clippers have won more games. Their form over the last ten games has also been excellent, as they have lost just once.
That defeat came in their most recent game in the NBA against the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets held on to win that game 128-117, which ultimately inflicted a third road defeat of the season onto the Jazz. Bojan Bogdanovic led the Jazz in that defeat, as he scored 29 points. The 31-year-old has averaged 14.7 points per game so far this season, and is averaging 39.7% from beyond the arc. Six other Jazz stars ended the game with double-digit points returns. Ruby Gobert and Royce O’Neale both scored 12, while Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson finished with 13 points apiece.
Hawks Hoping To Rediscover Consistency
The Atlanta Hawks are in a promising position at this stage of the season to contend for a playoff place in the Eastern Conference. However, consistency has been their biggest issues over recent games. After having their three-game winning run ended by the Milwaukee Bucks at the end of January, they have won just two of their four following fixtures. Most recently, they were beaten at the State Farm Arena by the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Hawks still would have taken confidence despite the defeat, as they pushed the Lakers until the end. The defending champions needed to step up their game in the final quarter to pull away to a 107-99 victory. Trae Young scored 25 points and 16 assists in that defeat. Young has averaged 26.9 points per game this season, and is averaging nine assists per game. John Collins also scored 22 points in that recent defeat.
Jazz vs Hawks Prediction & Pick
Who will win tonight’s NBA Game:
The Jazz have certainly been in excellent form this season, and we expect them to be near the top of the Western Conference until the end of the regular season. They will rediscover their best form against the Hawks this week, in what looks set to be a very entertaining game on paper.

The Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche meet Saturday in NHL action at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort.
The Vegas Golden Knights look for a win after winning five of their last seven games. The Vegas Golden Knights are averaging 3.1 goals per game and are scoring on 20 percent of their power play opportunities. Max Pacioretty leads Vegas with eight goals, Mark Stone has 12 assists and Shea Theodore has 36 shots on goal. Defensively, the Vegas Golden Knights are allowing 2.1 goals per game and are killing 85.7 percent of their opponents power plays. Robin Lehner has given up 15 goals on 136 shots faced and Marc-Andre Fleury has given up 14 goals on 221 shots.
The Colorado Avalanche look for a win after winning five of their last seven games. The Colorado Avalanche are averaging 3.2 goals per game and are scoring on 25 percent of their power play opportunities. Mikko Rantanen leads Colorado with seven goals, Nathan MacKinnon has 12 assists and Nazem Kadri has 37 shots on goal. Defensively, the Colorado Avalanche are allowing 2.1 goals per game and are killing 88.6 percent of their opponents power plays. Philipp Grubauer has allowed 18 goals on 282 shots faced and Hunter Miska has allowed seven goals on 59 shots.
The Golden Knights are 7-1 in their last 8 Saturday games and 36-17 in their last 53 overall. The Avalanche are 5-2 in their last 7 vs. West and 5-2 in their last 7 overall. The under is 4-0 in Golden Knights last 4 overall. The over is 4-0 in Avalanche last 4 Saturday games. The Golden Knights are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings. The road team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
These teams have split the first two meetings this season and the Vegas Golden Knights are probably the more consistent team overall, but we're getting a cup contender at home and a very cheap price. If it was the other way around, I'd be on Vegas. You can make a strong case for either side here with the way both teams are playing, so with the Avs at home, I'll take this price.
